Application of Rubber Carbon Black in Industrial Rubber Products
Jul 28, 2023
The proportion of rubber carbon black in the carbon black market is relatively large, usually accounting for 94%, because rubber carbon black is used in many rubber products, but different rubber products have different requirements for rubber carbon black.
Industrial rubber products generally refer to various mechanical equipment and rubber products used in automobiles, except for tires. There are various types of rubber products, but the ones with the highest usage and quality requirements are mainly automotive rubber products, such as door and window seals, wipers, air conditioning pipes, oil seals, transmission belts, shock absorbers, and sealing rings with different functions.
Different industrial rubber products have different requirements for the quality of the rubber material and rubber carbon black used, such as stable appearance and fewer surface defects for door and window sealing strips; Air conditioning pipes should have good resistance to refrigerant corrosion and aging under high temperatures; The fuel pipe should be resistant to oil and not leak; The transmission belt should have high strength and good thermal aging performance; The stern gasket and sealing ring should have good heat resistance, solvent resistance, and aging performance. Different processing methods such as extrusion, injection, and molding for rubber products have different requirements for the quality of the rubber material and rubber carbon black used, but there are also common requirements.
There are many types of molding processes for rubber products. Although different rubber products require different types of rubber carbon black, their common requirement is that the quality of rubber carbon black should be good, and the dispersion performance should be good. In other words, the specific surface area, particle size, and other indicators of rubber carbon black should be qualified.
